GreatSchools and Move, Inc. Help Families Find the Best Schools and Homes All in One Place

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GreatSchools and Move, Inc. Help Families Find
the Best Schools and Homes All in One Place

San Francisco, CA — April 21, 2010 — GreatSchools (www.greatschools.org), the leading source of information for school performance, and Move, Inc. (www.move.com), the leader in online real estate, are joining forces to make available customized housing data to GreatSchools visitors who are considering a relocation and researching schools.

Beginning in April, parents who review GreatSchools performance data or other rankings for Pre-K and K-12 schools in a specific town or city will be able to easily discover real estate information — such as pricing for homes for sale or available rentals — near these schools. It is the first in a series of enhancements to better support movers on the GreatSchools site.

“We know that approximately 30% of our website visitors are considering a move and for them finding a new home is closely related to where the best schools are,” explained Bill Jackson, founder, president and CEO of GreatSchools.” He continued, “GreatSchools’ mission is to guide parents in confidently choosing a school. Through our relationship with Move.com, we can ease the moving experience by putting essential education and real estate information at their fingertips.”

“We’re pleased to work with GreatSchools in offering parents the freshest real estate information available online as they search for a school that’s right for their children,” said Steve Berkowitz, chief executive officer of Move, Inc. “Selecting the right home in the right school district can be challenging, especially if it’s a new community. Having immediate access to accurate local property data that includes pricing from a trusted source reduces the stress and uncertainties families face during the search process.”

GreatSchools compliments its data offerings with high-quality, original content, some of which is dedicated to helping parents with their moving experience. Articles have covered topics such as: tips to help your child with the transition; choosing a mover; books to help kids move; and neighborhoods and kids’ health.
